1978 – Tarleton State University establishes its Fort Worth presence with Dr. Lamar Johanson’s medical laboratory science program, which expanded and relocated to the Richard C. Schaffer Building in the1990s
2006 – The move to the Hickman Building marks a turning point; student numbers grew significantly to over 1,700 by 2015
2014 – Walton Global donates 80 acres in Fort Worth, paving the way for a permanent campus in the city
2019 – The Campus Administration Building opens, the first of many slated in the master plan, approved in 2017
2024 – The Interprofessional Education Building opens in the fall to welcome the inaugural cohort of first- and second-year students
